ABOUT
alyssa is a multidisciplinary artist based just north of boston, ma. she is currently pursuing her mfa at massachusetts college of art & design.
alyssa started exploring the world of fibers with wet felting and needle felting in january 2025 while working with her spring 2025 mentor, artist courtney stock. courtney’s practice was incredibly inspiring to alyssa, and her semester was filled with gaining comfortability with a new medium and its processes while investigating how it integrated into her practice.
following her semester with courtney, alyssa worked with leslie fandrich. leslie’s multidisciplinary practice and unique experience with grief were critical for alyssa’s growth and development as she continues to create a larger distance between her personal experiences and the work that she shares with the world.
alyssa has embraced learning new techniques and materials to expand her practice. she has loved the process and it connected her more closely to weaving and sculpture processes.
